Asymmetric Wave Crest Design

Each ArcWave™ crest features an intentionally asymmetric width profile, with one side wider and the other narrower.

The wider side is positioned to support the direction of greater spoke entry angle and lateral load, increasing contact area and reducing localized shear stress at the spoke interface. This improves structural stability under high tension and dynamic riding loads.

The narrower side reduces unnecessary material where loads are lower, preserving controlled compliance and minimizing overall rim weight. This asymmetric crest geometry allows the rim to better align with real-world spoke angles, reducing spoke head bending and promoting more consistent tension balance.

By reinforcing strength only where it is required, ArcWave™ achieves higher durability and stiffness without sacrificing weight efficiency.
