Automatic winding of carbon fiber rims is a very good idea. Automated production can reduce production costs, reduce defective rates, and shorten delivery times.
Unfortunately, this technology is still very immature. Still in the experimental stage.
The structure of carbon fiber rims made by the winding process is stronger than those made by ordinary production processes. But now automatic winding machinery requires the use of carbon fibers cut to a certain width and requires disposable preform molds. This results in only part of the rim being wound, with uneven thickness and high cost.
Therefore, carbon fiber rims with a bowknot texture are the best solution to improve the strength of the rim.
